"Arizona Designates Pluto as State Planet"
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs signed a bill into law making Pluto the official state planet of Arizona, citing its historical significance as the ninth planet in the solar system and its discovery at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff in 1930. The bill, introduced by Rep. Justin Wilmeth, aims to celebrate Arizona's achievements in space and astronomy, despite Pluto's reclassification as a dwarf planet in 2006.
