Ransomware Attack Hits Three UK Airports, Exposing Data of 8.7 Million Customers
Hackers accessed the personal data of approximately 8.7 million customers across Manchester, East Midlands, and London Stansted airports. Manchester Airports Group (MAG) confirmed that email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registrations, and postcodes were stolen during a weekend incident. The company refused to pay a ransom demand and stated that aviation security and payment systems were not compromised. The breach occurred during peak summer travel, affecting services like WiFi sign-ups and parking bookings.
