Verstappen Secures Pole for Singapore GP Amid Heat and Humidity
Max Verstappen has claimed pole position for the 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, following a commanding performance in the rain-affected sprint. The Red Bull driver edged out Charles Leclerc by 0.054 seconds in qualifying, with Lewis Hamilton and championship leader Kimi Antonelli rounding out the top four. George Russell will start from the back of the grid due to a power unit penalty. The race is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, at 8:00 pm local time (1:00 pm BST). Weather forecasts indicate dry conditions at the start, though high heat and humidity are expected to challenge driver endurance.
