Long-serving NASA Marshall Center Director announces retirement after 38 years
Jody Singer, the Director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, has announced her retirement after 38 years of service. Singer, who became the first female center director at Marshall in 2018, will be succeeded by Joseph Pelfrey as the interim acting director. During her tenure, Singer expanded the center's portfolio to include various space exploration projects and partnerships. Her retirement will be effective on July 29. A nationwide search will be conducted to find her permanent successor.
