Universal Confirms 'The Mummy: Book of the Dead' for 2027
Universal Pictures has officially titled the upcoming sequel to the 1999 classic 'The Mummy' as 'The Mummy: Book of the Dead.' The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 15, 2027. Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz will reprise their roles as Rick and Evie O'Connell, alongside a returning cast that includes John Hannah and Oded Fehr. The project is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with a screenplay by David Coggeshall.
