Brady Tkachuk Joins Panthers, Reuniting with Brother Matthew in Florida
Brady Tkachuk was traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Florida Panthers, reuniting him with his brother Matthew in South Florida. Ottawa received Nos. 9 and 25 in the 2026 NHL Draft, a conditional first-round pick in 2029, and a 2027 second-round pick (with No. 25 previously sent to Seattle for Mackie Samoskevich). Brady, 26, had 59 points this season and has two seasons left on his seven-year, $57.5 million contract. Panthers GM Bill Zito called him a dynamic leader as they chase a championship; this will be the first time the Tkachuk brothers play together in the NHL.
