Baltimore mother held without bond after six children found in condemned, unsanitary home
Teonna Brown, 34, was arrested and held without bond after six children, ages 1 to 9, were found alone in a condemned rental home in East Baltimore. The children were discovered by a city employee on September 1, 2026, in a house lacking electricity, water, food, and air conditioning. Brown faces six counts of child neglect. Mayor Brandon Scott has ordered inspections of other assisted housing units and vowed to hold city officials accountable for oversight failures.
