NASA Nears Historic Mission to Capture $10,000 Quadrillion Golden Asteroid
NASA is preparing to launch the Psyche spacecraft on a mission to study the asteroid 16 Psyche, which is estimated to be worth $10,000 quadrillion, surpassing the entire global economy. The spacecraft is undergoing final preparations at Cape Canaveral and is scheduled to launch on October 5. The mission aims to gather data about the composition and history of the metal-rich asteroid, which is believed to have a core composed of iron, nickel, and gold. The spacecraft will use solar electric propulsion to navigate its six-year journey to the asteroid, where it will observe and study the asteroid for at least 26 months.
