
Foot-deep Snow Shuts Minnesota Schools, Triggers Travel Warnings and Flight Cancellations
A weekend blizzard dumped more than a foot of snow on southern Minnesota, prompting St. Paul Public Schools to cancel all in-person classes and Minneapolis Public Schools to declare a severe weather day with pre-K–5 students off and older students on an e-learning day; state officials issued a no-travel advisory in southern Minnesota, Gov. Walz authorized the Minnesota National Guard to support emergency operations, and MSP canceled hundreds of flights as snow emergencies spread across the region.
