NHS rolls out targeted ovarian cancer drug that extends life and improves daily living
A new targeted ovarian cancer drug, mirvetuximab soravtansine, is now funded by the NHS for patients whose tumors express folate receptor alpha, delivering chemotherapy directly to cancer cells, reducing side effects and extending average survival from 12.8 to 16.5 months, potentially benefiting up to 400 patients a year in England.
