United flight attendant Monique Harris praised for catching infant slipping from exhausted mother’s lap
United Airlines flight attendant Monique Harris, a 50-year-old from Indiana, gained widespread praise after catching a baby that was slipping from its sleeping mother’s lap during a flight from Newark to Grand Rapids, Michigan. The incident occurred last week, and a fellow passenger, John Frehse, posted about it on Instagram, calling Harris an 'A+ employee' and urging United CEO Scott Kirby to recognize her. Harris responded to the viral attention, stating she acted naturally and did not seek recognition. Social media users have called for United to reward her with a raise or bonus.
