Al Jazeera Broadcasts Rare Footage and Documents Alleging Hamas Planned October 7 Attack Months in Advance
Al Jazeera aired rare footage of Hamas leader Muhammad Deif and senior commanders in tunnels, alongside documents allegedly detailing the planning of the October 7, 2023 attack. The broadcast included a video of Deif walking through a tunnel during the war and a recording of a conversation with former leader Yahya Sinwar. Documents presented by the network claim an operational order signed by Deif on October 5, 2023, set the attack start time for 6:30 a.m., while another document from February 2023 allegedly records the decision to begin preparations months earlier. The footage also showed Deif with former leaders Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh in a rocket manufacturing workshop.
