Blue Origin has unveiled a multi-use platform called Blue Ring, which will serve as a hub for hosting, deploying, and refueling spacecraft in Earth orbit, cislunar space, and beyond. The platform can carry payloads to various orbits, including geostationary, lunar, and interstellar space. Powered by a hybrid chemical and solar-electric propulsion system, Blue Ring offers versatility and the ability to maneuver payloads between different orbits. It can be refueled in orbit and is launch-vehicle agnostic. Blue Origin's new business unit, In-Space Systems, will market transportation, hosting, refueling, data relay, and other services. The company plans to launch Blue Ring in 2025, with a manifest already filling up.
