Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn chief moves to New York’s Guggenheim, signaling leadership shift
Melissa Chiu, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden's director for 12 years, will leave Aug. 31 to lead New York's Guggenheim, becoming the latest Smithsonian director to depart in about two years.
