"Assessing the NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse Bracket: Top Teams Lead the Field"

The NCAA Lacrosse Selection Committee produced an uncontroversial bracket with simple explanations, largely agreeing with the regional advisory committee's feedback on the top three seeds: Duke, Virginia, and Notre Dame. The committee also placed a great deal of value on head-to-head results for teams seeded fourth through seventh. Only two teams, Michigan and Utah, will require flights to their first-round destinations. Yale was the last team in, while Denver was the first team out. The top two seeds, Duke and Virginia, were sent to Albany, NY, for the quarterfinals, which puzzled some coaches.
