Northern Lights Expected to Illuminate Multiple US States
A solar storm forecast for Thursday is expected to bring the Northern Lights, also known as aurora borealis, to several states in New England, including New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. This phenomenon, usually seen in Alaska, Canada, and Scandinavia, is becoming visible in more southern locations due to an 11-year solar cycle. Other states, such as Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and Montana, are also expected to experience auroral activity. To witness the Northern Lights, it is recommended to find a location away from city lights between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. local time.
