Sonny Styles Earns First NFC Defensive Player of the Week Honor Since 2020
Washington Commanders linebacker Sonny Styles has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the team's victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Styles recorded five total tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, a quarterback hit, and two passes defensed. This marks the first time a Washington player has won the award since 2020 and the first time a rookie has received the honor since 2024. He is also the first Washington linebacker to win the award since Keenan Robinson in 2014. Styles was the only NFC player to record a pick, a forced fumble, and multiple passes defensed in Week 3.
