
Commanders land Okonkwo and Cross on multi-year contracts
The Washington Commanders agreed to terms with tight end Chig Okonkwo on a three-year deal and safety Nick Cross on a two-year deal worth up to $14 million, adding a capable pass catcher from Tennessee and a versatile defender from Indianapolis; Okonkwo had 194 receptions for 2,017 yards and eight TDs in four seasons with the Titans, while Cross posted 322 tackles, 3.5 sacks, five interceptions, and 12 pass breakups in four seasons with the Colts.
