Minnesota Senate Candidate Flanagan Faces Scrutiny Over Friend’s Autism Center Fraud Probe
Minnesota Democratic Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan is facing renewed criticism after the Milestone Development Center, run by her longtime friend Nimco Ahmed, was terminated from the state Medicaid program amid fraud investigations. Ahmed appeared in a viral video with Flanagan defending the Somali community during a broader state fraud scandal. While the Minnesota Department of Human Services confirmed open investigations into Ahmed’s center and another provider, both have appealed their termination. Critics on social media are linking Flanagan’s political standing to the alleged misconduct of her associate, despite no direct evidence of her involvement.
