North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised two days of drills “simulating a nuclear counterattack” including the firing of a ballistic missile carrying a mock nuclear warhead, according to state news agency KCNA. The drills were the fourth show of force from Pyongyang in a week and came as South Korea and the US stage their own military manoeuvres. The UN Security Council is expected to hold an emergency meeting on Monday over the ICBM launch at the request of the US and Japan.
