Poland's Airspace Raises Concerns: Unidentified Objects and Missiles Detected
Poland's Defense Ministry detected an object in its airspace that flew in from Belarus, which is likely an observation balloon. The object was spotted near Białowieża and radar contact was lost near Rypin. This follows two other known incursions into Poland's airspace since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The National Security Bureau said that President Andrzej Duda was informed on April 26 about an object that may be a Russian-made cruise missile, which was discovered in December. The political opposition has been calling for the dismissal of Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak over the matter.
