This move comes as Russia also plans to cut oil exports by 300,000 barrels per day in September. However, the prolonged supply restraint from Saudi Arabia and Russia, coupled with extreme heat disrupting refineries, has led to a spike in gasoline prices for US consumers, reaching nine-month highs. The national average for regular gas is now $3.82 a gallon, with the potential for further increases.
