"SpaceX's Starship Rocket Prepares for Launch from Texas to Hawaii Despite Marine Warnings"

SpaceX plans to launch its giant Starship rocket on an orbital test from its south Texas "Starbase" and splash down in the ocean just north of Hawaii, prompting marine warnings. The rocket will lift off from Texas, and the booster stage will separate and perform a partial return, landing in the Gulf of Mexico. The Orbital Starship will continue to fly up and out away from Texas, flying over the Gulf of Mexico and eventually through the Florida Straits, achieving orbit. After nearly circling the globe, the Starship will splash down just north of Hawaii, roughly 90 minutes after lift-off.
