"Be Part of History: Send Your Name to Mars!"
NASA is offering the public the opportunity to send their names to Mars by laser-etching them onto a microchip that will be left behind on a future Mars mission. This initiative aims to engage the public and maintain interest in space exploration. Over 10 million names have already been sent to Mars on previous missions, and around 20 spacecraft have carried names into space. While the idea of sharing personal information with potential extraterrestrial beings remains uncertain, no extraterrestrial responses have been received thus far.
