Peter Frampton Unveils Carry the Light, a Tom Petty Tribute Fueled by Fresh Collaborations

Peter Frampton has announced Carry the Light, his first album of all-new material in 16 years, due May 15 via UMe, led by the single Buried Treasure—a Tom Petty tribute featuring Benmont Tench. The album includes collaborations with Sheryl Crow, Bill Evans, H.E.R., Tom Morello and Graham Nash, and Frampton wrote much of it with his son Julian. Buried Treasure ties to Petty’s SiriusXM show of the same name, and the project honors Petty and his Heartbreakers legacy with a 10-track set that Frampton warmly describes as a meaningful new chapter.
