Google has updated the Pixel Camera app to bring the new panorama mode from Pixel 9 and 10 to Pixel 8, offering an improved, AR-style guided interface for capturing panoramic photos. Older Pixel models still use the previous interface. The update is available on the Play Store with Pixel Camera 10.2.
The Pixel Camera app on Wear OS for Pixel Watch has been updated to allow users to switch between various photo and video modes directly from the watch, including Night Sight, Portrait, Photo, Video, Slow Motion, and Time Lapse. This update, introduced with Pixel Camera 9.2, also includes UI tweaks such as renaming the main list to "Settings" and changing the camera switcher to a menu. The Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have received a camera update that introduces a Night Sight Time Lapse feature, allowing users to record timelapse videos at night. The update also includes an always-on toggle for the Palm Timer and an Ultra HDR toggle. The update is rolling out now, and a December 2023 Pixel Feature Drop is expected to bring a new Video Boost feature.
