Purdue Faces UCLA in High-Stakes Big Ten Opener Amid Injury Concerns
Purdue travels to Pasadena for its Big Ten opener against UCLA on Saturday, facing a late kickoff and significant injury questions. The Boilermakers have three players ruled out, including starting defensive back Mister Clark, while left tackle Joey Tanona remains doubtful. UCLA, seeking its first 3-0 start under coach Bob Chesney, faces a physical Purdue defense but must contend with a struggling passing game. Analysts are split on the outcome, with some predicting a Purdue upset due to UCLA's offensive inconsistencies, while others favor the Bruins' dominant rushing attack.
