His tearful farewell also noted that he will no longer work with wife co-anchor Jenna Jackson; Nolan, who joined KWQC in 2022, and Jackson won an Emmy in October 2025 for 'Remembering May 28th,' a Davenport hotel collapse memorial.

Power outages and damage reported across Midwest due to severe weather.

Severe weather including a tornado warning moved through the Quad Cities area on Saturday night, causing damage and power outages. Downed trees and power lines were reported in Jackson, Jo Davies, and Dubuque counties. As of early Sunday morning, over 5,000 people were without power in the Quad Cities area. TV6 viewers submitted photos and videos of storm damage.

Severe thunderstorms cause widespread power outages in Midwest.

Severe storms hit the Quad Cities Area on Saturday night, causing damage and power outages. A tornado warning was issued for parts of the Quad City metro area around 10:30 p.m. Reports of downed trees and power lines came in from Jackson, Jo Davies, and Dubuque counties. MidAmerican reported over 5,000 people without power in the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities. The severe weather threat diminished for most of the TV6 viewing area around 12:26 a.m. as storms continued to track to the east through Illinois counties.

I-74 Bridge Demolition Completed Between Illinois and Iowa

Half of the historic I-74 bridge in Bettendorf, Iowa was demolished using controlled explosives, with over a thousand spectators in attendance. The new I-74 bridge was temporarily closed for safety during the demolition process. The old I-74 bridge was officially out of service as of December 3, 2021, and no official date has been released regarding the demolition of the remaining parts of the bridge.

Quad Cities River Reaches 21.4 Foot Crest.

The Mississippi River flood of 2023 has crested in the Quad Cities, reaching 21.46 feet and expected to stay at that level for several more days. Davenport built HESCO walls along River Drive to hold back the floodwater and protect the city, with three times the amount of sand added along the riverfront and the wall twice as high and wide as the one built during the 2019 record-setting flood. The entire Riverfront Recreation Trail and Walk are closed due to major river flooding.
