Apple doubles down on carbon removal with $200 million investment.

Apple has announced that it will invest an additional $200 million in its Restore Fund, which was established in 2019 to invest in projects that remove carbon from the atmosphere. The fund, which was launched in partnership with Goldman Sachs and Conservation International, has already invested in forest properties in Brazil and Paraguay. The new investment will help the fund start new projects and double its previously stated goal to remove about 1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. Apple aims to become carbon neutral through its entire supply chain and the life cycle of every product by 2030.
