Maryland's Legal Recreational Weed Sparks Cross-State Interest

Recreational marijuana dispensaries in Maryland have opened their doors for the first time, allowing customers to purchase legal cannabis. Rise Dispensary in Silver Spring was among the dispensaries celebrating the start of legal recreational weed. Maryland is the first state to approve a retail market of legal dispensaries, unlike D.C. and Virginia, which rely on medicinal shops and "gifting" sellers. Customers can buy up to 1.5 ounces of marijuana or 750 milligrams of vape cartridges, gummies, and edibles at one time. Rise Dispensaries expects to double their sales now that they can sell recreational marijuana.
