Activision Serves Real-Life Cease-and-Desist to Notorious CoD Cheater
Activision publicly escalated its ongoing anti-cheat push by sending a cease-and-desist to Elocarry at his Ohio home, with a representative delivering the paperwork on a monitored visit. The company touted its broader impact against cheating, claiming to have disrupted 375 cheat reseller operations, issued 80+ cease-and-desist requests, and shut down over 30 vendors, while showing early Modern Warfare 4 beta improvements like better bans and faster action. Elocarry’s site currently lists no Call of Duty cheats, and Activision says it will continue pursuing cheaters ahead of the game’s October launch, including during week 2 of the beta.
