Riven, Cyan Worlds’ 1997 best-selling PC puzzle game, is getting an Xbox release on May 19 in a brand-new, re-imagined and expanded version with free movement and updated visuals; it comes to Xbox Series X|S and PC with Xbox Play Anywhere, following a PC remake released in 2024. The Myst remake is also out on Xbox and expanding to PS5/PS VR2 on the same day. Pre-orders on the Xbox Store include a 20% discount (about £23.39 / $27.99).
Cyan Worlds is releasing remakes of Myst and its sequel Riven for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Microsoft Store, including PS VR2 support, ray-traced reflections, and a 60fps Performance Mode. PS5 Pro Enhanced options and a Power Saver mode are included, Xbox supports 4K and HDR, and both titles will cost $35 with a May 19 launch (Myst is already purchasable on Xbox Series X/S).
A leak suggests the 1997 PS1 adventure Riven (the Myst sequel) is being remade for PS5, following a PC and Quest release, with PSN trophies hinting at an imminent PS5 release and potential VR support for PSVR2, though the information is unconfirmed.
The remake of Riven, the sequel to Myst, launches on June 25 for PC and VR headsets. Reimagined by Cyan Worlds, it features updated gameplay, improved graphics, reworked puzzles, and new content.
