Capitals Secure 10th Straight Road Win with Protas' Overtime Heroics
The Washington Capitals made history by becoming the 12th NHL team to win 10 consecutive road games in a single season, following their 2-1 overtime victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets. This streak, which began with an 8-1 win over the St. Louis Blues, has seen the Capitals outscore opponents 48-21. Although their streak of regulation wins ended at nine, the Capitals are now second in the NHL standings, just behind the Winnipeg Jets. Coach Spencer Carbery praised the team's resilience and unity during this impressive run.
