Louisiana mass shooting leaves mother of three with a bullet lodged in her face
A violent domestic-incident mass shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana, killed eight children—seven of the shooter’s and a cousin's—and left Christina Snow, mother of three of the victims, with a bullet lodged in her face; another woman, Shaneiqua Pugh, was hospitalized in critical condition. The gunman, Shamar Elkins, was shot and killed by police. Federal authorities arrested a man in Louisiana connected to the firearm, charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm and making false statements. The attack is the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. in two years.
