Ukraine retaliates after mall attack with strikes on Russian refinery and warehouse
Ukraine says it retaliated after Russia’s deadly ‘double-tap’ strike on a central Ukrainian shopping mall, launching strikes on Russian targets including a fuel refinery and an online retailer warehouse in the Samara region. Kyiv condemned the mall attack as a terrorist act and vowed a firm response, while overnight Russian drone and missile strikes killed two more people in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia; the earlier attack killed 16 and wounded more than 130, with several people missing.
