Ukraine widens strikes on Russian oil network as deadly Luhansk college attack unfolds
Ukraine says its forces struck the Yaroslavl oil refinery about 700 km from the border as part of a broader campaign to disrupt Russia’s oil revenue, and says 11 Russian oil facilities have been hit this month, including Kirishi. In a separate incident, Ukrainian drones hit the Starobilsk Professional College in Russian‑controlled Luhansk, killing at least six, injuring 39 and leaving 15 missing; Russia calls it a terrorist act and an emergency UN Security Council session was planned amid civilian casualties.
