CD Projekt Red Firmly Opposes Microtransactions in Single-Player Games

CD Projekt Red's chief financial officer stated in an interview that the company does not see a place for microtransactions in singleplayer games, but did not rule out using them in multiplayer projects. The company is currently working on The Witcher 4 and in the early stages of developing a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, both primarily singleplayer games. Despite their stance on microtransactions, CDPR has previously offered in-game items and post-release DLCs for their games.
