New research utilizing an updated software package called RICH, which can track fluid motion, has shown promise in modeling these events more accurately. By improving the modeling of radiation emission and absorption, the researchers were able to better simulate the burst of radiation observed during tidal disruptions, shedding light on the physics that govern these cataclysmic events.
