Choreographer Sonya Tayeh's NYC dance piece The Surge uses Sinead O’Connor’s songs and excerpts from her autobiography to explore spirituality, identity, grief, joy and rage, delivering a moving homage to the late singer as part of Off Broadway performances in September.
