Ariane 6 Test Delayed to November
The European Space Agency (ESA) has rescheduled the long-duration static-fire test of the Ariane 6 rocket for late November, following a delay caused by a problem with the hydraulics in the thrust vector control system. The test will be preceded by a full-scale launch countdown test in October. Despite the delay, ESA is confident in the progress of the Ariane 6 team and plans to set a period for the inaugural launch after the long-duration test. The ESA Council will convene a second European Space Summit meeting in November to discuss access to space and seek endorsements for initiatives, including support for Ariane 6 and Vega C rockets.
