"Northern Lights May Illuminate Southern Utah Tonight Along with 29 Other US States"
Scientists at Space Weather Watch predict that a moderate, strong, or severe geomagnetic storm could bring the northern lights, also known as aurora borealis, as far south as Alabama on Sunday, April 23, 2023. The Space Weather Prediction Center also predicts the possibility for viewing in the United States due to a strong solar storm. The phenomena caused by geomagnetic storms is usually only visible to those living in severe northern parts of the planet, such as Alaska and Canada.
