An amateur astronomer spotted a Star Trek symbol on the surface of Mars in a photograph taken by NASA’s Curiosity Rover, resembling the arrowhead insignia worn by characters in the popular TV series. The image was captured on January 9 and posted on NASA’s Mars website, where it was noticed by Stuart Atkinson. The Curiosity Rover, which landed on Mars in 2012, continues to explore the Red Planet, and its success has led to the Perseverance mission currently underway.
