Ukraine’s Deep Strikes Wreck Russian Air Fleet: 13 Aircraft Lost in Five Weeks
Ukraine has destroyed or damaged approximately 13 Russian military aircraft in five weeks, primarily through deep strikes on airbases and a series of accidents. The losses include seven Su-34 fighter-bombers, a Tu-95MS strategic bomber, an Su-57 stealth fighter, and an Su-30SM. Ukrainian forces used Neptune missiles to hit targets in Volgograd and Voronezh regions, while Russian authorities confirmed crashes in Kaliningrad and Amur regions. These losses represent a significant portion of Russia’s recent aircraft deliveries and highlight vulnerabilities in its aviation infrastructure.
