Theranos' ex-COO 'Sunny' Balwani surrenders to prison
Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, former COO of Theranos, has surrendered himself to federal prison to serve his 155-month sentence for wire fraud and conspiracy convictions related to his role in the blood-testing startup. Balwani and founder Elizabeth Holmes raised nearly $1 billion from investors before the company was exposed as a fraud. Holmes is scheduled to surrender on April 27.
