Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Ultra and Surface Dev Box showcase RTX Spark for on-device AI
At Build 2026, The Verge went hands-on with two RTX Spark-powered devices: the Surface Laptop Ultra, a 15-inch clamshell with a 2000-nit mini-LED display, an oversized haptic trackpad, rich I/O, and a focus on performance, battery life, and local AI compute; and the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a compact desktop with 128GB of unified memory and a 100W thermal envelope designed for sustained AI workloads, both sharing the same RTX Spark chip but aimed at different use cases. Pricing for both remains to be announced.
