Glen Schofield bows out after a 35-year shaping of AAA gaming
Glen Schofield, a veteran game director responsible for Dead Space, multiple Call of Duty titles and The Callisto Protocol, has announced his retirement after a 35-year career. In a LinkedIn video he reflected on the industry’s “greatest creative explosions,” thanked colleagues at EA and Activision, and highlighted leadership roles at Visceral Games, Sledgehammer Games, and Striking Distance Studios. He emphasized the enduring importance of creativity even as development costs rise, and suggested the next generation should take the baton after he finishes The Callisto Protocol.
