Ex-EA FC Dev Calls The Grounds a Career Low
A former EA FC/FIFA developer, Renzo Barraza (now known as DaaGlitcher) who worked on the series from 2013–2025, says EA FC 27’s new social hub The Grounds is “one of the worst projects” he has experienced, suggesting it could expose the company’s true philosophy. The Grounds was teased as an open-world social space with mini-games ahead of EA FC 27’s reveal, but Barraza’s remarks, along with mixed reactions to the trailer, cast doubt on whether the mode will meet its hype.
