Portland clashes erupt outside The Sports Bra, spilling into neighborhoods
Protesters and counterprotesters clashed outside Northeast Portland's The Sports Bra, with mace deployed and the conflict spilling into residential streets and a nearby Fred Meyer. Windows were shattered and crowds dispersed after police intervened; a 59-year-old man, Michael J. Duntley, was arrested in connection with iPhone theft during the protest. The demonstration was the second by conservatives against the bar's policy to ask guests displaying anti-trans messaging to cover or leave, while The Sports Bra reiterated its inclusive stance and commitment to a welcoming space for all.
