A competitor died during the swim portion of IRONMAN Texas in The Woodlands. The Woodlands Fire Department located the swimmer and they were pronounced dead shortly after; the identity has not been released. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating, and IRONMAN Texas issued condolences and said there would be no further comment as the family is supported by organizers.
