AI bug report flood bogs Linux security mailing list, Torvalds says
Linus Torvalds says the Linux security mailing list has become almost unmanageable due to a flood of AI-discovered bug reports that duplicate each other, creating pointless churn. While AI helped expose the Copy Fail vulnerability, he warns that reports filed with AI are often redundant and adds little value unless reporters also contribute patches or deeper analysis. GitHub’s Jarom Brown echoed the need for validated, well-researched findings over sheer volume.
